It's very easy to lay track. But putting together complex, multi-level bench work is next to impossible. This software isn't compatible with the CAD I use. They need the building bench work part work more like a simple CAD program, such as DeltaCAD. Although, it's only a 2D CAD it's better than what Atlas has.
ReplyDeleteAnother option would be the ability to import bench work plans from a CAD program using a universal extension such as .dwg or .dxf.
This leaves me to building a library of everything that I will be using on my layout in the CAD I use so I have the bench work and track plans together. Making Atlas' Software basically useless. I thought about purchasing a license, but not after frustrating hours of design failure trying to get the bench work done.
It's a shame Atlas can't do better on the bench work part.
